Trackers

Track what you do, and what you don't.

12 days since your last doomscroll. 4 days since you called your mom. Chronio counts the time since, keeps your best run, and shows whether the habit is sticking.

In short

A tracker is one thing you want more of or less of. For a habit you're quitting, Chronio counts your clean run and celebrates milestones. For a habit you're building, it shows how long since you last did it, how often you usually do, and your weekly streak. One tap logs it and restarts the clock.

For the habits you want to stop

Most habit apps only count what you did. Chronio was built around the idea that less can be the goal. Set a tracker to stay away from it and the number that matters becomes the time since the last slip: hours, then days, then weeks.

  • A live clean-run counter, down to the hour.
  • Milestones at 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60 and 90 days, then 6 months, a year and two years.
  • Your longest run is kept when you slip, along with a strip of your recent runs.
  • Weekly streaks for staying under a limit, if you'd rather cut down than quit.

For the habits you want to keep

Set a tracker to keep doing it and Chronio tells you when you last did it and how often you usually do. "You usually do this every 3 days" is a gentler nudge than a broken streak, and you get a quiet warning when a habit starts to slip.

  • Time since you last did it, live.
  • Your usual rhythm, worked out from your own history.
  • Week streaks: weeks you hit your target in a row.
  • Lifetime totals: sessions, hours and active days.

Weekly streaks, not daily guilt

Daily streaks punish one bad Tuesday. Chronio counts streaks in weeks: a week counts when you kept your target, and a week you skip on purpose (holiday, illness) neither breaks nor extends it. It's the same weekly rhythm the rest of the Chronio method runs on.

As simple or as structured as you like

Adding a tracker takes one step: a name, and whether you want more or less of it. If you already plan your week around your life's pillars in Chronio, any activity you track can become a tracker too, with its weekly target and history intact.

And if you use Claude or ChatGPT, the Chronio connector can answer "how long since I last went running?" from your own data.

Questions

Is Chronio a "days since" app?

It can be used as one. Add a tracker such as "Doomscrolling" or "Called mom" and Chronio counts the weeks, days and hours since it last happened, keeps your longest run, and shows your streak. Logging it again restarts the clock.

Can I track habits I want to quit, not just ones I want to build?

Yes. Every goal in Chronio is either AIM (do at least this much) or LIMIT (stay under this). A LIMIT tracker turns time since into a clean run you can watch grow, with milestones at 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 90 days and beyond.

How are streaks counted?

Mainly in weeks: a week counts when you kept your weekly target (or, for a limit, stayed under it). Weeks you mark as skipped neither break nor extend a streak. Day streaks are shown too, but weekly streaks are gentler and match how Chronio plans.

Do I have to set up pillars and goals first?

No. Adding a tracker is one step: name it and choose whether you want to keep doing it or stay away from it. If you already plan your week in Chronio, you can pin any existing activity as a tracker instead.

Can I share my progress?

If you choose to. Each tracker can get a private link to a small card showing its name and counters, nothing else. You can revoke the link at any time.

Is it free?

Yes. Chronio is in free public beta, and trackers, streaks and milestones are part of the free core.
