Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Chronio (chronioapp.com, the Chronio web app, and the Chronio browser extension), operated from Ireland. By creating an account or using Chronio, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. See also our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
1. The service
Chronio is a time-tracking and planning tool: you organize your life into Pillars and Goals, track time against them, and review plan-vs-actual reports. Chronio is currently free while in beta — every feature, no card required. Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product develops, and a paid plan may be introduced in the future; if it is, we'll give you reasonable notice before any change affects you.
2. Eligibility & your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Chronio (the age of digital consent under Ireland's Data Protection Act 2018).
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
- One account per person. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Chronio for anything illegal, or to store or share content you don't have the right to share (including other people's personal data).
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Chronio's systems.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service without our written permission.
- Use the AI or voice-logging features to process content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that we reasonably believe put other users or the service at risk.
4. Third-party integrations
Chronio optionally connects to third-party services (currently Notion, Trello, and an AI provider for planning/voice features). Your use of those services through Chronio is also subject to their own terms and policies. We aren't responsible for those third parties' acts, availability, or policies — you can disconnect an integration at any time in Settings.
5. Your content
You own the content you create in Chronio — your Pillars, Goals, time entries, notes, and anything else you enter. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide Chronio to you (and to the third-party services you explicitly connect, as described in the Privacy Policy). We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it to train AI models beyond passing it to our AI provider to generate the specific suggestion or transcription you requested.
Chronio's name, branding, and underlying software are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission.
6. Beta status & disclaimer of warranty
Chronio is provided "as is" and "as available," in active beta. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, that the service will be error-free, or that any particular feature will remain unchanged or available indefinitely. Back up anything important — you can export your time-tracking data as an Excel file at any time from within the app.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chronio and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under Irish or EU law (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
8. Termination
You can stop using Chronio at any time, and can request full account deletion via the contact form linked in the footer. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice if we ever need to shut it down.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Chronio evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and make a reasonable effort to notify you in the app of material changes. Continuing to use Chronio after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland. If you're an EU consumer, this doesn't take away any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of the country where you live.
